The holidays are here and it’s stressful. So here a recipe that won’t disappoint you. It’s my all-time favorite dessert salad (frogeye salad). This is a family recipe we have been making for years and it is an absolute HIT during the holidays or for graduation parties. It’s the one dish that never has leftovers. The two major tips for this recipe is YOU MUST COOL THE PASTA, save the juice, and let set for at least 2 hours. Other than that this is an incredibly easy salad to make.

The Best Dessert Fruit Salad EVER (frogeye salad). This is a family recipe we have been making for years and it is an absolute HIT. It’s the one dish that never has leftovers.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup acini di pepe macaroni

  • 1 or 2 can mandarin oranges (save the juice)

  • 1 can pineapple tidbits (save the juice)

  • 1 5oz vanilla instant pudding

  • 1/2 tub or so cool whip (needs to be soft)

Directions

  • Cook the pasta and let it cool (YOU MUST LET IT COOL)
  • Once pasta is cool mix pasta, mandarin oranges, pineapple tidbit, and instant vanilla pudding together.
  • Add left over pineapple juice and a little mandarin orange juice as well.
  • Mix in Cool Whip and let set in the fridge.
  • Enjoy!
