The Peanut Sauce

As the title stated, you’ll be making a Spicy Peanut Thai Wrap. To make this recipe, you’ll put together a spicy peanut sauce. The best part, I must say. It’s easy to make and full of flavorful ingredients. The peanut sauce is very creamy and has a little kick to it. Feel free to lessen the spice if necessary. To do this, you’ll add half the amount of the Chili Garlic Sauce instead of the full amount.

Customizable

This recipe is very customizable. It can be made vegan by using maple syrup instead of honey. Or, do you need this recipe gluten-free? Just sub out a regular wrap for a gluten-free wrap. There are plenty of great options out there consider looking at some of the following brands: NuCo, Udi’s, Rudi’s, or Mission’s gluten-free wraps. You will also need a gluten-free soy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 wraps (i used spinach)

  • 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce

  • 1 cup chopped spinach

  • 1/2 cup chopped red pepper

  • 1/2 shredded carrots

  • 1/3 cup unsalted peanuts

  • 2 tbsp peanut butter

  • 1 – 1 1/2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce

  • 1 tsp minced garlic

  • 1 tsp chili Huy Fong Foods Chili Garlic Sauce

  • 1/2 tsp honey or maple syrup

Directions

  • Chop the lettuce, spinach, red peppers, and carrots. Add to a mixing bowl and add peanuts.
  • In a separate bowl mix together the rest of the ingredients.
  • Pour sauce over vegetables. Mix well.
  • Separate mixture evenly on wraps.
  • Enjoy!
